If you're not feeling good enough
Discouragement. Sometimes it gets the best of you and me. Or at times it may be overwhelm, self-doubt, resentment, disappointment or even just sadness that brings you to your breaking point. It leaves you in a puddle on the floor, exhausted and wondering if the effort is even worth it. Because no matter how much good you do, there will always be more to be done, another way to improve, and someone else to lift. “Your best” seems to be unattainable.
And on the days you don’t feel you’ve done much good at all, I know how tempting it is to beat yourself up with “should have’s.” Believe me, I’ve been there too. But that’s the beauty of this life. Within each day lies the possibility of more. Your potential is limitless. The best (and hardest) part? Nothing is stopping you from making tomorrow a better day, but you. And the regrets and guilt of yesterday only weigh you down if you let them. So don’t give up; the effort is worth it! Keep giving, loving, smiling. Keep trying. Keep being your best you. And you know what... Your best? It’s going to look different (and probably never perfect) with each new day. And that’s totally okay. You are so very enough, today and always.
